Hi my name is Stephen Noble. I am the owner and Head Coach @ Bass Coast Surf Academy. Growing up on the Bass Coast / Bunurong Coast I made a connection with the ocean from a young age. Spending most summer days at the beach surfing & swimming. Our family joined the local Board Riders at the time and I started competing in surf competitions while still at primary school. Having an older brother that was naturally gifted, really inspired me to put in the time at getting better not only at surfing but with competitions as well. During my junior career I became Victorian Champion at each division and went onto finish Top Twenty in my last 2 years on the Australian Pro Junior Series. Before starting my Uni Degree I decided to give the world surfing stage one last crack in 2008 and travelled to the UK and Europe to pursue my surfing dream on the World Qualifying Series (WQS). I managed to get a few good results and finish just outside of the Top 100 in my first year. Without a major sponsor I decided to hit the books and return to study in Melbs. During my time in Melbs I kept competing at a state level and managed to become Victorian Open Champion for the first time in 2011. These days I consider myself to be more of a soul surfer, riding different equipment, slowing it down and intentionally aiming to make a connection with the wave, myself and the ocean.
